Come spend the day fishing or touring the beautiful Indian River Lagoon with Captain Max Wysong. Straddling 156 miles of Florida’s east coast, the Indian River Lagoon is North America’s most biologically diverse estuary and serves as important spawning and nursery ground for many different species of fish. As a result, the lagoon is truly an angler’s paradise! Popular game fish include Redfish, Black Drum, Spotted Sea Trout, Snook, and Tarpon but it is also possible to catch Flounder, Sheepshead, Ladyfish, Bluefish, Snapper and more! We specialize in light tackle, inshore flats fishing on a 23’ Shoalwater boat, the best shallow water fishing boats on the market.
Aside from being an angler’s paradise, the Indian River Lagoon is also a nature lover’s paradise. The lagoon boasts one of the most diverse bird populations in America. On any given day it is possible to see Osprey, Brown and White Pelicans, Blue Herons, Egrets, Commorant, Ibis, and more! The lagoon is also home to a thriving population of over 500 bottlenose dolphins and nearly 1/3 of the nation’s manatee population.
